The NOVURANIA NTR 112 Publisher has been developed as a soft type, highly compressible web blanket, designed to reduce the "bouncing" (gear-marking) problem, inherent in certain types of web presses. The NTR 112 Publisher is eminently suitable for use on web presses, both heat set (type HS) and cold set (type CS) or on sheet fed presses. The NTR 112 Publisher has been specially designed for the needs of high-speed commercial and newspaper web printing. The service life of the NTR 112 Publisher is greatly increased by its good resistance to inks and washing solutions, and by a very stable carcass. A change of web widths is possible without problems. Naturally excellent print results in screen and solids will be achieved on all commercial stocks. The stableness of the carcass, guarantees even feed-characteristics throughout its life. The reinforced carcass is manufactured from only the highest quality long staple cotton yarns, and the fabric plies are woven to NOVURANIA’s rigorous specifications providing excellent mechanical properties. All plies are multi-calendered to ensure lowest sinking on the press, thus increasing usable life. The back ply is sealed for enhanced protection against penetration of inks and damping solutions. The NTR 112 Publisher incorporates a NOVURANIA proprietary technology, with pressurized gas cells, to improve speed of recovery. The precision buffing of the compressible layer eliminates variations of compressibility. The face compound is designed for excellent compression set and rebound characteristics. The precision buffed surface finish provides improved gauge control and excellent ink transfer and sheet releasing properties.
